Syrian Rebels Attack Strategic Taftanaz Airbase

Intense battles between regime forces and Syrian rebels have been raging at Taftanaz air base.

Reuters reported:

“Syrian rebels today launched a major operation on a northern airbase in an attempt to cut off air traffic between Damascus and the country’s second-largest city of Aleppo …”

It is estimated that some 60,000 people have already been killed in the fighting raging in Syria—a horrific toll (warning: extremely graphic) in human lives which shows no signs of letting up anytime soon.
