A Real Plan for Recovery …

The Twelve Steps of Socialists Anonymous

  1. We admitted we were powerless over spending—that our government had become unmanageable.
  2. Came to believe that a Power greater than government could restore us to sanity.
  3. Made a decision to turn our will and our government over to the will of the American People and the U.S. Constitution as we understood it.
  4. Made a searching and fearless audit of the Federal Reserve and the U.S. Treasury.
  5. Admitted to God, to the American People and to a Congressional Oversight Hearing the exact nature of our wrongs.
  6. Were entirely ready to have the Senate and House remove all these defective characters.
  7. Humbly asked the American People to remove our shortcomers.
  8. Made a list of all political enemies we had duped and slandered, and became willing to make restitution to them all.
  9. Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or risk national security.
  10. Continued to take personal inventory of our expenditures and when we were over-budget promptly admitted it.
  11. Sought through public discourse and mediation to improve our conscious contact with the American People as we understood them, praying only for knowledge of their will for us and the power to carry that out.
  12. Having had a spiritual awakening as the result of these steps, we tried to carry this message to socialists and to practice these principles in all our domestic and foreign affairs.
