Syria

Syria continues to descend into a living hell beyond comprehension, while the MSM largely ignores the conflict that threatens to spread into a region-wide struggle.

It is increasingly difficult to get a solid picture of what is going on within Syria. But one thing is for sure: the extreme violence and intense suffering of the Syrian civilian population is escalating to a level that threatens the entire Middle East and beyond.

Much of the information regarding current events in Syria is coming out of Beirut, Paris and London. Their is so much deception and propaganda coming from all sides in this bloody conflict in Syria–which is to be expected in the midst of an all-out shooting war.

Boris Dolgov, a member of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Oriental Studies in Moscow,  in an article entitled “What Is Really Going On In Syria: Insider Update,” provides some details on the major players that have emerged from the chaos in Syria:

Bashar al-Assad

Syrian President Bashar al-Assad waves at supporters during a public appearance in Damascus on January 11, 2012 in which he vowed to defeat a "conspiracy" against Syria.

When Bashar al-Assad succeeded his father, Hafez al-Assad, it was hoped by the West, at the time, that the son would be the kinder-gentler version of the Assad bloodline. But, as current events have born out, Bashar al-Assad seems to have torn out a page from his father’s book by crushing any rebellion ruthlessly–like Hafez al-Assad did when he ordered the Syrian Army to shell the city of Hama in February 1982 to quell an Islamic movement that had been conducting terrorist attacks against Syrian forces.  The city of Hama was considered a “stronghold of landed conservatism and of the Muslim Brothers.” Subsequent estimates of casualties vary from 7,000 to 40,000 people killed.

Of course, the Marxian socialist element within the current “revolution” in Syria has its representation–Qadri Jamil et ilk. This is where the International Left and current “democracy movements” are focusing their resources. But, in my opinion, the godless Marxist stooge–for they are not even People of the Book, according to Islam–within the Syrian uprising are the “useful idiots” for the Muslim Brotherhood, Al Qaeda et al. They will simply be swept aside after they outlive their usefulness– to weaken the current Syrian regime.

“Free” Syrian Army Elements

Although I have no doubt there are true Syrian patriots, so to speak, who only wish to throw off the yoke of Bashar’s godless, fascist, Baath Party reign of terror, unfortunately, as is almost always the case in the Middle East, the forces of Al Qaeda, Muslim Brotherhood, and other terrorist groups have moved into to further terrorize the Syrian population under the guise of a “Free Syrian Army.” The situation is similar to what occurred in the Sunni Triangle (Al Anbar Province) in Iraq–Al Qaeda and other Islamic terror cells moved into Sunni-dominated areas and so brutalized the populations in these areas that they turned against them.

If you ever wondered what it was like to have lived in Leningrad, London or Hamburg, or more recently–Tel Aviv and Riyadh–during World War Two, Homs, Syria should provide the reference. The city has been under continuous bombardment by rockets, bombs, shells–allegedly even phosphorous–for weeks now.
