Stop Obama’s Executive Power Grab

Dear Fellow Conservative,

Last week, President Obama arrogantly circumvented the American people with an unprecedented “recess” appointment of more unelected, unaccountable, unconfirmed “Czars”. This outrageous affront to the American people ventures into uncertain legal territory, threatens the Constitutional process for confirmation, and fundamentally endangers the Constitutional role of Congress to provide a check on the excesses of the executive branch.

We can’t tolerate another Obama executive power grab. Senate Republicans are committed to stopping Obama’s job-killing, Washington-centric policies and ensuring that 2012 is the final year of the Obama presidency.

Earlier this year, 44 of my Senate Republican colleagues and I served notice that we will not confirm any nominees until we were sure they could be held accountable to the American people. In making these unprecedented appointments, President Obama has ignored the American people’s wishes and undermined the very fabric of our Constitutional system.
