Well, we are here! No crisis left behind …
We have falling or fractured governments in the Middle East to include Tunisia, Egypt, Libya, Syria, Sudan, Uganda, and a power vacuum left (following our pull-out) in Iraq. Don’t forget Afghanistan. Our esteemed leader is thrilled that “democracy” is spreading in the volatile Middle East. Obama is a legend in his own mind; he really believes the tripe he says. Taking credit for the Arab Spring, because he says it is Democracy and yet, simultaneously blaming the Arab Spring for his own impotent economic policy, he has driven us right up to the gates of Hell!
In an exclusive Newsmax TV interview, Ronald Reagan’s assistant defense secretary, Frank Gaffney, warned that War is on the way in the Middle East as Muslim countries are determined to force a showdown over the future of Israel:
“I’m afraid there’s a war coming, a very serious, perhaps cataclysmic regional war,” Gaffney said. “It will be presumably over, at least in part, the future existence of the state of Israel. It may involve all of its neighbors, as they have in the past, attacking Israel to try, as they say, to drive the Jews into the sea….”
“It may involve the use of nuclear weapons, but whatever form it takes and whenever it occurs, it is unlikely to be contained to that region, and we must do everything we can to prevent freedom’s enemies from thinking they have an opportunity to engage in that kind of warfare.”
Gaffney now heads up the nonprofit Center for Security Policy in Washington, D.C., was speaking on the very day that the “moderate” Islamist party Ennahda claimed victory in elections in Tunisia – the day after Libya’s new rulers declared that country will be ruled on Islamic principles and under Sharia law. He continued:
“I don’t believe there is such a thing as a moderate Islamist party,” he said. “The challenge with Islamists is that they seek to impose what they call Sharia on everybody, Muslim and non-Muslim alike…”
“They may, as a matter of tactical expediency, choose to do so in incremental ways, often nonviolently, at least initially…”
“The problem is that, because ultimately they must — according to Sharia, according to what they believe is God’s will — make everyone feel subdued in order to achieve their God-mandated direction, they will not remain moderate. They will not be satisfied with anything less than the ultimate supremacy of Sharia and they certainly will not resist the use of violence when it becomes expedient to get their way.”
Christians are evacuating the Middle East in an unprecedented exodus. Attacked by mobs and terrorists, repressed by the growing popularity of fundamentalist Islamic law and separated from crucial business ties, Christians are leaving in droves.
Iraq was not part of the Arab Spring, but the toppling of Saddam Husseim in 2003 by the U.S. military created a vacuum and hundreds of thousands Christians have fled the country due to the sectarian strife. A similar fate is feared should President Bashar al-Assad be toppled In Syria, where Christians make up approximately 10 percent of the population. There was a time when things did not seem so bleak:
“Virtually the entire region now experiencing the convulsion of the Arab Spring lived inside the very large tent of the Ottoman Empire until World War I,” James Traub wrote in Foreign Policy. “Ottoman rulers welcomed the Jews who fled the Inquisition. In great Ottoman capitals like Aleppo, in modern Syria, Jews, Christians, Kurds, and Sunni Muslims lived in the same neighborhoods.”
The Muslim brotherhood is not our friend. Fear of Islam is not irrational! It is not phobic to be afraid of something whose purpose in life is to kill you. Sharia law, which the Left is so desirous of “allowing” to coexist within or next to our own Constitution, calls for the dismantlement of Western culture. It is their duty to destroy us as directed by the Qur’an! How can anyone rationalize this? This is intolerably poor judgment; indeed, it is suicidal. Andrew McCarthy details these incredulous facts expertly in his recent article “Fears and Smears” – National Review Online.
The Left does not know what it is they are doing. They only know, in their blind hatred, that they cannot consider a conservative point of view. The Obama administration has been a foreign policy disaster. He has deposed a friendly Egyptian government and allowed it to be replaced by the worst elements of Islam. He will, when we leave Iraq, allow the Iranians to sweep into Iraq and all our efforts there will have been in vain.
Once again, I am left wondering why this has not been a major subject of debate amongst our Republican presidential candidates. Not that our worthless media would notice. This is the one thing that they have in common with moderate Republicans – they have their heads in the same dark place. What is it going to take for these people to wake up and realize this is all very real? How many will need to be butchered to death by these savages before they finally comprehend that it won’t be long before it is their turn to be beheaded?
